On Wednesday, April 11th, residents participated in our monthly Watermark University Cooking for Culture and Health program. This month they learned all about the benefits of coconut oil. Some of the benefits include anti-aging properties, stopping kidney infections, boosting your immune system, skin and nail benefits and many more. In addition to the educational portion of the program, participants listened to some island music and tasted the coconut chicken prepared by Community Life Director, Sue. They each got to take home a sample of the oil to experience some of the health and beauty benefits. The program was well received and the chicken was delicious!!
